East Peoria- Franklin S. Yackle, 82 of East Peoria, died at 12:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at Methodist Hospital in Peoria.
Born on July 12, 1930, in Quincy,to the late Franklin and Maria Elizabeth Weber Yackle, he married Ruth Balzer on July 8, 1950, in Hannibal, Mo. She predeceased him on July 2, 2012.
Surviving are two daughters and one son, Shirley Wenzler of California, Michael (Jacquetta) Yackle of Washington and Anna Yackle of Wheeling; five grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dolores Ghai of Cincinnati, Ohio and Maria Duncan of Centennial, Colo.
He worked for Caterpillar Tractor Co. as a Line Inspector and Union Steward for 30 years retiring in 1985. He was also a pastor for the Spiritual Church of Harmony. Like his wife, he also harbored psychic abilities which he used to help many people throughout his life.
Frank was a member of the American Legion Post #983 of East Peoria.
Cremation rites have been accorded and no services will take place at this time. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory of East Peoria.
