East Peoria- Charles "Wayne" Moss, 44 of East Peoria, died following a short illness on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born on Feb. 14, 1968, in Belleville, Kan., to Charles E. Moss and Geneieve Weaver Moss.
Surviving are Wayne's fiancée, Stacy Hall of East Peoria: six children, Brenna, Griffin and Jaden Hall and Quaid, Paxton and Jovie Moss; his father and step-mother, Charles E. (Maggie) Moss of Mackinaw; four sisters, Debra (Jack) Cruser of Bloomington, Barbara (Mark) Stilwell of Albuquerque, N.M., Nona (Richard) Nieman of Allen, Texas and Dede Hoffman of Metamora.
Wayne was preceded in death by his mother Geneieve Moss in August of 1983.
Wayne was a Service Advisor and Manager for several car dealerships in the area.
Honoring Wayne's wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of his life will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. The Rev. Tom Goodell will officiate with inurnment to follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens. Visitation will take place on Friday from noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wayne Moss Memorial Fund c/o Morton Community Bank.
