EAST PEORIA – Folepi has been found!

Jason Stimeling of East Peoria is the winner of the Find Folepi ornament hunt, a new addition to the Festival of Lights.

Steinman, 21, searched for the ornament based on the first clue, which was released Nov. 21. Using the rhymes in the clue, Steinman first searched in the roundabout area and around Clock Tower Drive. He said the clue eventually had him in the area of RiverFront Park, where he found the ornament hidden in a tree.

"I was very surprised to find it," Steinman said, "and especially with it being the first clue."

Steinman found the ornament at approximately 8 p.m. Nov. 21. Due to the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, there was a delay in reporting the find to Festival of Lights officials. Steinman notified festival officials on Nov. 27 that he found the ornament.

Steinman will receive a package of gift certificates valued at over $1,300 at the Dec. 4 East Peoria City Council meeting.
