• State police say thanks for support of Deatherage family

  • Thank you to everyone who helped the wives of District 08 and District 06
    Troopers get the word out about the fund-raiser for Trooper Kyle
    Deatherage, who was killed in the line of duty. The fund-raiser was held
    on Saturday at Apricot Lane Boutique in both Peoria and Bloomington.
    Thanks to the generosity of area residents and businesses, they collected
    over $12,200 for Trooper Deatherage's family.

    Thanks to the generosity of area residents and businesses, they collected
    over $12,200 for Trooper Deatherage's family.
    The wives will continue to sell raffle tickets for a framed, signed Chicago
    Bears Brian Urlacher jersey until the Bears win the Super Bowl on Feb. 3,
    2013. If by some chance the Bears don't make it to the Super Bowl, they
    will still draw the raffle on that day...........
    Again, thank you for helping get the word out. They had many people stop
    by who said they found out from the news stories. They even had people
    contact them over the phone and give donations after hearing the stories!
