    The Raiders scored 16 points in each of the first three quarters to wallop the Dragons, 61-41, in a Mid-Illini Conference girls basketball game at Allison Gymnasium.
    East Peoria (6-6, 3-2) won for the third time in its last four games as three players were in double figures.
    Jaycie Stealy led the Raiders for the first time in scoring with a game-high 14 points. She was 4-of-4 on free throws and canned two 3-pointers.
    Kylie Giebelhausen had 12 points and Ally Watson 11 for East Peoria, which led 32-10 at halftime.
    Courtney Potendyk had eight points as the Raiders improved to 2-3 at home.
    Erika Johnson had nine points to lead Pekin.
    Holiday hoops: East Peoria plays for the seventh consecutive season at the Manual Holiday Tournament.
    The Raiders, who are 13-12 since 2006 at the Peoria event in its 34th year, were the competition-bracket champion in the '11 version.
    East Peoria faces Lincoln (9:30 a.m.) and East St. Louis (4:30 p.m.) in Pool-A action Thursday.
    The Raiders will play once each on Friday and Saturday.
