Get your eyes checked

I was inspired by Jeanette’s guest blog last week and feel compelled to admit something. I am 33 and I have bifocals. Talk about feeling like an old lady!   I was shocked when Dr. Funk told me I needed bifocals!  Believe me, I paid the extra money for a blended line so no one can tell. And I wear my glasses ONLY to work or if I am being lazy. I feel less frumpy when I wear my contacts. Now, I love my eye doctor and I trust him fully but, really??? Bifocals.

However, I can totally relate to Jeanette’s feelings when she was walking around seeing things clearly for the first time.  I couldn’t believe what I was missing!  Words were clear, faces were clear.  Everything was so bright and crisp.  I notice my wrinkles in the mirror much more often now.  So there are plusses and minuses… I am still not happy about bifocals but being able to see is wonderful!

Get your eyes checked and don’t let your ego get in the way of good senses.
