As I have grown a little older, as I do every day, I have come to realize one of life’s most unfair peculiarities. Have you noticed that men get better-looking as they age? We women just seem to get wrinkly!
The kicker- men don’t even work at it! There is an entire multi-billion dollar industry on helping us ladies stay looking young and we take it- hook, line and sinker! Countless lotions, oils, creams, treatments, exfoliates, fruit, acid, you name it, they sell it and we try it! It is just not fair!
We all know that beauty is only skin deep, we are loved for who we are, not how we look and all those other niceties but I still want to look my best! Men think we are vain, but honestly, we all just want to look and feel like the best versions of ourselves, right? Every woman knows that awesome feeling of leaving the salon with the perfect haircut and finding that perfect outfit that actually fit! It has nothing to do with vanity, we just love looking good because it makes us feel good! Men, you don’t get it because you have never had to try!
I don’t want to turn this into a men vs. women topic but simply to bring up the fact that we age differently and I think it stinks!
But, all that being said, these laugh lines are experiences and I wouldn’t erase a single one. (I just wish they made me look sexier, not older!)
