I'm moving on.
This last couple of weeks has been bittersweet for me as I drove around central Illinois looking at buildings and streets I've been familiar with my whole life.
Recently a friend and I headed out to Morton to try the new Maxine's on Main, located at 208 N. Main Street.
We walked in to the cozy bungalow and were recognized by our reservation and arrival time and were seated on the front porch area at a tall table.

I'm in my thirties. I was raised in Chillicothe, lived in Peoria for several years and then moved to Washington with my husband and our black lab where we've been for over 10 years. My hobbies include travel, travel and travel. I love to explore a winding country road or a new town to see what kind of off the beaten path treasures I can discover.
