A few weeks ago we picked up my mother-in-law and headed over to the Over Easy Cafe, 201 E. Lake Avenue in Peoria, for Sunday breakfast. Prior to us turning in to the parking lot, she wasn't aware that the restaurant existed.
The dining room was fairly full, but we did snag a booth by the front window.
The cafe features specials daily, both for breakfast and lunch. I decided on country ham with a biscuit and gravy. The ham was very good, and the thick gravy and biscuit were of good quality. I washed it all down with a cup of coffee and was good to go. Though our waitress told us she was new, she did a fine job, although we did flag her down for a coffee refill the first time. After that we were kept topped off.
Over Easy Cafe serves breakfast and lunch, with breakfast being available all day.
I'm in my thirties. I was raised in Chillicothe, lived in Peoria for several years and then moved to Washington with my husband and our black lab where we've been for over 10 years. My hobbies include travel, travel and travel. I love to explore a winding country road or a new town to see what kind of off the beaten path treasures I can discover.
