Another suggestion for an area to go to get away with the family or just to relax and get some great landscape pics is Jubilee College State Park in Brimfield, IL. (http://www.stateparks.com/jubilee_college.html). (They had chosen a few of my pics to use in their “Photo Gallery”).
I’ve been there a few times and it seems I find more interesting sights each time I go. (Two engagement couples have used it for our shoots).
I don’t hike much but, if I did, I would imagine the trails are beautiful! The State maintenance crew keeps the Park well maintained.

I chose the fall because the colors knock your socks off! I would like to go again if we get a nice snow!
