• State Rep. Mike Smith (D-Canton) will partner with the Citizens Utility Board to host a phone bill analysis clinic at 6 p.m. This event will be at the Fondulac Park District, 201 Veterans Drive East Peoria.
The free phone bill clinic will offer local residents a one-on-one phone bill analysis from a phone bill specialist with CUB to help them cut unneeded and often costly features from their phone service. In addition, these clinics will also educate local residents about issues such as telephone slamming. According to the Federal Communications Commission, slamming is the illegal practice of changing a consumer's telephone service without permission.
Attendees should bring a copy of their latest phone bill.
