The Peoria Animal Welfare Shelter reminds pet owners to keep their pets inside and safe during the Fourth of July holiday.
Each year many pets become lost when frightened by firecrackers or fireworks. And, fireworks injure many pets each year. Sometimes, dogs frightened by fireworks displays will bite - especially when in a crowd of people. The best place for your pet during any fireworks display is inside where he/she cannot become lost of injured.
Keep your pets safe - keep them inside.
