District 309 School Board members approved an amendment to the district’s 10-year Health Life Safety Survey Monday.
The survey will now include repairs to Clatt Stadium, the school auditorium, ADA improvements and wall repairs, with a total price tag of $256,000.
“My guess is that’s a little bit inflated, but we shot high,” said Superintendent Chuck Nagel. “The money is there. It’s not a problem with the Health Life Safety fund; we haven’t spent anything in the last two years.”
Improvements will include adding ADA accessibility to the mechanics classroom and laboratory and the entrance to Building A; repairing walls in auditorium, library and commons area; and rebuilding a tilting 6-foot retaining wall at Clatt Stadium.
In other business, the board:
• Approved the final 2010-11 school calendar. The last day of student attendance is May 26.
• Approved and set a public hearing for the tentative amended FY11 budget. The public hearing is set for 5:45 p.m. June 20.
