EAST PEORIA — The first tenant in the multi-tenant building under construction in the Levee District will be cellphone service provider T-Mobile, Cullinan Properties has announced.
The building is between Panda Express and McDonalds at 4015 Spinder Drive.
T-Mobile will open this fall, with additional tenants in the building to be announced in the near future.
The Target-anchored shopping center is home to a mix of local and national retail, restaurant, service, and medical tenants, including Ross, Ulta, Tequila’s Mexican Restaurant, Jenny Craig, Heartland Dental, Red Robin, Chick-fil-A, Jersey Mikes, Chipoltle and more. The Levee District is more than 90 percent occupied with just a few units remaining which drove demand for the new building and has limited spaces for lease available, according to a Cullinan news release.
“We are very excited about this new addition in the Levee District and look forward to future retail, service and employment opportunities,” stated Mayor Mingus of East Peoria, in a prepared statement.
Ty Livingston, the city's director of planning, said the design will be reminiscent of the other outbuildings in the Levee District.
"It will largely look like the other multi-tenant buildings in front of Target, with the exception of the faux stucco-look at the top of those buildings to be replaced with a lap-siding material.," Livingston said Monday. "It will offer a little different look but still remain true to the Levee District design requirements of stone and glazing window facades. Since it's a multi-tenant building, we're looking forward to announcements of more businesses there soon."
