A Pekin man whose body was found near the UAW Senior Citizens Center in December died of a methamphetamine overdose.
The death of Jacob Sutton, 32, is considered accidental, Tazewell County Coroner Jeff Baldi said Wednesday.
Sutton was found at about 10:15 a.m. Dec. 28 behind a shed near the UAW building at 444 S. Parkway Drive. He was dressed for the day’s cold weather and had been seen walking a short time earlier, a deputy coroner reported.
No signs of trauma were found. The cause of death awaited results of toxicology tests to reveal the presence of drugs, alcohol or other toxic chemicals in the blood system.
Baldi said no police investigation is underway in the case.
