PEKIN — Two men received hospital care Tuesday night for injuries they suffered in a fight involving a knife, Pekin police said Wednesday.
A police department spokeswoman declined to release details of the incident that took place at about 6 p.m. in the 2000 block of Willow Street while it remained under investigation. The Illinois State Police was summoned to aid in the probe, she said.
Public Information Officer Billie Ingles said neither man had been taken into custody by late Wednesday morning.
She said she didn’t know the extent of the mens’ injuries or if the men, who remained unidentified, remained in the two hospitals where they were taken. She declined to identify the hospitals.
