PEORIA — A fatal shooting victim suffered five separate gunshot wounds Monday that likely led to instantaneous death from hemorrhage, according to the autopsy report issued by Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood.

Daryl D. Keller was found unresponsive with no pulse when the Peoria Police Department and Emergency Medical Services arrived at the corner of North Sand and West Third streets in Peoria shortly after 1 p.m. Monday. Keller was pronounced dead at 1:19 p.m.

The homicide is believed to be the 18th in Peoria this year. That total does not include four homicides the Peoria County state’s attorney deemed justified and/or self-defense.

No information has been released regarding a suspect or suspects in connection to the most recent apparent homicide.
