With summer more than halfway over, it’s not too soon to start thinking about back to school preparations.
For East Peoria School District 86, students need the following exams: all kindergartners need a physical, dental and eye exam, all second graders need a dental exam, all sixth graders need a physical exam and all children grades seventh through 12th participating in sports need an annual sports physical.
School registration for District 86 is Aug. 4.
Registration fees for early childhood will be $40, K-5 will be $60, 6-8 will be $62.
Registration for Robein School District 85 will be from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 4 and from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 5 at the school.
Registration fees for grades K-4 will be $55; grades 5-6 will be $65; and grades 7-8 will be $75. This includes science fair materials.
Bring emergency contact numbers, Social Security numbers, and any required medical, dental, and vision exams that a child has completed over the summer.
The state of Illinois requires vision, medical and dental examinations for children entering kindergarten.
Dental exams are also required for students entering grades 2-6.
Also, a current sports physical will be required for students in grades 5-8 who participate in extracurricular activities.
