Green carnival to take place in high school cafeteria Thursday

East Peoria Community High School will host the third annual “Green” carnival from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the new high school cafeteria.

The event will be focused on environmentalism and is specifically geared toward families of children in grades K-8.

The evening will include games, activities and arts and science projects for kids. For adults, information about environmentally-friendly and recycling services in Central Illinois will be available.

Also, businesses will have booths on display, and compact fluorescent bulb packs will be given away to interested participants while supplies last.
