A Creve Coeur man died Monday morning from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash on Illinois Route 26.
Nathan Harr, 30, of 608 Larosh Street was pronounced dead at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria at 2:30 a.m. The accident occurred just before 1 a.m., according to Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll.
Harr was southbound on Route 26, reportedly at a high rate of speed, when his pickup truck left the road north of Spring Bay. The truck hit a guardrail, rolled down a 25-foot embankment and crashed into a tree.
Harr was not wearing a seat belt, according to the Woodford County Sheriff’s Department.
An autopsy is planned for Monday or Tuesday.
