An East Peoria man was charged with aggravated driving under the influence after a motorcycle accident July 11 that left his wife seriously injured.
According to Peoria police, Troy J. Jones, 40, of 116 Roosevelt Circle was driving about 2:45 a.m. in the 1300 block of War Memorial Drive in Peoria with his wife, Marsha Maccann, 40, when he crashed.
Jones told police something in the road caused the motorcycle to turn into the median.
Jones also was cited with operating an uninsured vehicle, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper left turn into oncoming traffic and resisting arrest.
Maccann was taken to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center and was in serious condition as of last week. As of Monday, she was no longer a patient there.
