A man and a woman were injured by a knife early Thursday morning in a bar parking lot in East Peoria.
The two victims were outside Kingsway Tavern, 808 Meadows Ave., after business hours at about 1:50 a.m. when they were approached by an unknown subject, according to the East Peoria Police Department.
A struggle took place, and both were injured by a knife, said police. They were transported to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center and were released shortly after.
While police have a person of interest in the case, no arrests had been made as of Tuesday.
“We feel it’s an insolated incident,” said Deputy Chief Chris Hutt. “There is absolutely nothing for the public to be worried about.”
Names of the victims and additional information about the incident were not available Tuesday.
