The Tazewell Regional Office of Education is accepting applications for persons wishing to register for GED testing for the month of February.
Testing dates and times are at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 14 and 15.
Tazewell County residents must register in person prior to the test with the Regional Office of Education in the Tazewell Building at 414 Court St., Suite 100, Pekin.
Registration hours are 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Monday–Thursday and 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Friday.
ID and $50 payable with a cashiers’ check or postal money order.
The testing site for the GED is at the Tazewell Bldg., 414 Court St., Suite 100, Pekin, IL 61554.
Those interested in taking the GED test or who need additional information, call or stop by the Regional Office of Education.
Seventeen-year-olds must provide proof of dropping out of school on school letterhead with the school seal.
If an applicant has previously passed the Constitution test, written proof must be provided from the testing organization. U. S. and Illinois Constitution study guides and complete GED preparation books are available and may be purchased in the Regional Office.
