Obituary: Doris A. Eberle, 75, of East Peoria

Doris A. Eberle, 75, of East Peoria died at 11:02 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Born Aug. 13, 1936 in Peoria to Robert L. and Grace M. (Greene) Green,  she married Harlan “Abe” Eberle in Peoria on April 6, 1956. He survives.

Also surviving are two children, Lyn (John) Pieper of Polk City, Iowa, and Jeff Eberle of East Peoria; seven grandchildren, Anthony, Jeffrey, Gretchen, Chase, Sarah, Sydney, Annalyn; two great-grandchildren, Brynlee and Annica; one great-granddaughter due in March; and two sisters, Mary Miller of East Peoria and Jean (Rol) Stiarwalt of Rocklin, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Hazel Green and Dorothy Bell.

Doris worked in accounting at Caterpillar Inc. for 32 years, retiring in Feb. of 1988.  She loved working all kinds of puzzles, shopping and spending time with her family.

Private funeral services will be held at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
