Ella Stuber, 90, of Morton, passed away at 4:05 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.

She was born Oct. 8, 1927, in Peoria to John and Emma Belsley Zimmerman. She married Nelson Stuber on Jan. 12, 1947, in Morton, and he went to be with the Lord on May 7, 2014.

Surviving are one daughter, Luanne (Dan) Acton of Morton; two grandchildren Kent (Kelle) Eigsti of Mackinaw and Kelly (Brad) Kennell of Morton; four great-grandchildren, Annabell, Alissa, Addy and Aleah; one brother, Jack (Marge) Zimmerman of Morton; one sister, Ruth Kaisner of Morton.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Paul Eigsti; her great-granddaughter, Grace Marie Kennell; and her siblings, Louise, Bob, Harold, Walt, Russ and Jim.

She and her husband owned and operated Nelson Stuber Builders, where she also painted and decorated the houses that they built.

She enjoyed entertaining and spending time with her family and friends.

Ella was a wonderful woman and a faithful member of the Tremont Baptist Church, but the most important thing about Ella was her faith and trust in Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior.

Her funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22, at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont. Pastor Noah Lee officiated. Visitation was from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday and one hour before the service, both at the funeral home. Burial was at Mount Hope Cemetery in Tremont.
