Margery A. Starnes, 86, died at 7:12 p.m. Feb. 21, 2010, at her home. 

Born Aug. 8, 1923, in Washburn to Albert and Ethel Lisle Adami, she married Arvil G. Starnes Nov. 29, 1941, in Kahoka, Mo.  He survives. 

Also surviving are two sons, Floyd (Shiela) Starnes of Dunlap and Mike (Neva) Starnes of Peoria; one sister, Rosemary (Kenneth) Gerber of Peoria; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Starnes owned Starnes Beauty Salon in Peoria, where she was a beautician. 

There will be no services. Cremation rites have been accorded. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Memorials may be made to OSF Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
