Stephen Lucas, 79, of East Peoria died at 6:03 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 2010, at the Greater Peoria Specialty Hospital in Peoria.
Born Jan. 16, 1931, in Boonton, N.J. to Stephen and Kathryn Salzer Lucas, he married Jenette Winchester on Dec. 20, 1953, in East Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are his daughter, Kathy Lucas of Round Lake and son Ed (Melba) Lucas of Chandler, Ariz.; his brother, Robert Lucas; and four grandchildren.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He worked as an accountant for Caterpillar Inc. for 36 years.
Lucas was a member of the Hilton Lodge in East Peoria.
Services were Friday at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in East Peoria. Visitation was Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
