Marilyn Marie Hanson, 78, of Peoria, formerly of East Peoria, died at 2:28 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

Born May 16, 1931, in Warsaw, to Esta and Annabelle Kaler Youngman, she married Willard W. Hanson Dec. 24, 1949, in East Peoria. He survives.

Also surviving are her mother, Annabelle Youngman of Peoria; two daughters, Patty (Larry) Clemens of Chillicothe and Peggy (Bob) Judkins of Peoria; one grandson; two brothers, Lee (Grace) Youngman of Chillicothe and Gale (Janet) Youngman of Washington.

She was preceded in death by her father.

She worked for Caterpillar Inc. for 31 years before her retirement in December 1983.

Services were Monday, Nov. 23 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in East Peoria. The Rev. David Spillman officiated. Visitation was Sunday, Nov. 22, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
