Julia Ann “Judy” Bryan, 77, died at 5 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at her home.

Born Jan. 27, 1932, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to Henry and Julia (Weber) Payton, she married Evan Bryan Jr. Sept. 2, 1950, in East Peoria.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Linda Kling of Olathe, Kan. and Julie (Tom) Treaster, of Pomona, Kan.; two sons, Michael (Anne) Bryan of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and Thomas (Robin) Bryan of Washington; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sonja (Robert) Wyant of Peoria.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pekin where she was active in the Sanctuary Choir and the Ladies Guild, both for more than 30 years, the Fellowship Club and served as the church librarian.

She was a 1950 graduate of East Peoria High School.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pekin. The Rev. Mark A. Miller will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, Nov. 30, at the funeral home, and from 10 to 10:45 a.m., Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
