Edith M. Wheeler, 91, of East Peoria, formerly of Groveland, died at 5:58 p.m. Feb. 14, 2010, at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.
Born March 24, 1918, in Bee Creek to Jesse and Mima Peacock Ottwell, she married Augustus Allen Wheeler June 24, 1938, in Hannibal. He died July 17, 1972, in Groveland.
Surviving are four children, Lowell (Sharon) Wheeler of Rockford, Donald (Chris) Wheeler of Groveland, Mary (Tony) Griffin of East Peoria and Mark (Mary) Wheeler of Brimfield; one brother, Donald (Lois) Ottwell of Payson, Ariz.; one sister, Lucille Zunker of Bourbonais; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one grandson and nine siblings.
Services were Friday at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. The Rev. Donald L. Blasing officiated. Visitation was Thursday at the funeral home. Burial was in Roberts Cemetery in Morton.
