PEKIN — Mary J. Vermillion, 66, died at 1:15 p.m. Feb. 19, 2010, at her home.

Born April 16, 1943, in Peoria to Raymond and Grace Frances Maggio Capitani, she married Guy E. Lillie Feb. 13, 1960, in Peoria. He died in 1989. She then married Raymond S. Vermillion July 11, 1992, in Peoria. He survives.

Also surviving are one sister, Antonia (Lou) Jones of Greensboro, Ga.; two daughters, Denise (Jim) Deters of Germantown Hills and Kimberly (Jeff) Benton of Hanna City; one stepdaughter, Danene (Wayne) Petty of Manchester, Tenn.; two stepsons, Mike (Heidi) Vermillion of Pekin and David Vermillion; three grandchildren; and eight stepgrandchildren,

She was an insurance agent for Comprehensive Insurance in Peoria prior to her retirement.
Services were Feb. 23 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory. The Rev. Tim Nolan officiated. Burial was in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.  Visitation was Feb. 22 at the funeral home.
