Held in the Performing Arts Center, participants can sample ballet, modern, jazz, and tap with the college’s own dance faculty.
Pre-registration is preferred, though walk-ins are accepted until the class is full.
For information and registration, contact Mary Dexter at 367-4644 between 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
The ICC Music Student Recitals consist of a variety of student performers playing important solo and chamber literature for their particular instrument or voice. For individuals with little musical experience apart from their high school bands or choirs, these events offer an important stepping stone between the beginning of professional music studies and preparing their hour-long junior and senior solo recitals that will be expected of them upon transfer.
Additionally, this may be a unique opportunity to introduce young audience members to classical music without imposing the listening demands of larger works, such as symphonies and operas. Please support our students in this endeavor. This month’s recital is at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 24 in the Lecture/Recital Hall, Room 127F.
The ICC Theatre Program presents “Rumors” by Neil Simon.
“Rumors” is a fast-paced, fun-filled farce from America’s premier comic playwright, Neil Simon.
We meet four couples as they arrive at an anniversary party only to discover that the host has shot himself in the head (don’t worry, only a flesh wound) and his wife is missing. A crazy cover-up ensues, and soon nobody can remember who was told what about whom. Hilarity erupts as the couple get more and more crazed trying to keep the story straight — then the police arrive ... This play contains adult themes. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Feb. 27 and 28 and March 6 and 7, as well as 2:30 p.m. March 1 and 8 in the Performing Arts Center Main Stage. Call the box office at 694-5136 for information and tickets.
