PEORIA – Vince McCane, Travis Anderson and Tommy Barnwell all rolled 700 series on Wednesday night to spark Royz Boyz into the semifinals of the Journal Star Tournament of Champions at Landmark Lanes.
Royz Boyz beat Striketown, 3,459-3,239, in the men's division quarterfinals, getting 712 from McCane, 705 from Anderson and 702 from Barnwell.
Brian Davis rolled a 732 for WingStop in a 3,419-3,282 win over Landmark Trio.
Deadly Alliance and Maxxx Revs II also advanced to next week’s semifinals.
In the women’s division, Lauren Sellers (635) and Leigh Scott (634), who were on last year’s winning team, led Mama Power past Wenches of Sail Peoria, 2,889-2,609.
Elaine Kaufmann’s 620 for WRC helped beat Fantastic 4, 2,720-2,628.
The other women's division semifinalists are Bubba Dump and Roy’s ?itches.
A 759 by Tom Berchtold led Pin Busters past Rookies, 2,466-2,103 in the mixed division.
Chad Barnes rolled a 279 game in a 682 series for MOSS in a 2,507-2,282 win over past champion Commando.
John Fandel had a 266 game and Nicole Nesland added a 253 for Fandel-Regguinti in a 2,502-2,247 win over Bul-Mt. Hawley.
Too Much Sauce advanced to the mixed division semis with a forfeit win.
