EAST PEORIA – Residents who have old, unused or expired prescription and non-prescription medications and need to safely dispose of them can bring them to the East Peoria Public Safety Building, 201 W. Washington St., between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. April 28 as part of the DEA National Drug Take-Back Day.

Medications can be dropped off in in a drive-through in the fire engine bay at the Public Safety Building. Accepted will be any prescriptions and over-the-counter medications. Excluded will be any medications with needles, such as EpiPens.

All medications collected will be destroyed.
