BARDOLPH — Illinois State Police say an East Peoria woman was injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash Sunday in McDonough County.
Deanna C. Helfers, 52, was trapped shortly before 9 a.m. when her 2015 Jeep Wrangler rolled over while she was driving east on County Road 1600 North at County Road 1750 East near Bardolph.
Bushnell Fire and Rescue, Lifeguard and other agencies responded, and she was transported to McDonough District Hospital in Macomb. She was treated and released, hospital spokesman Patrick Osterman said Monday morning.
Police said Helfers failed to reduce speed at a curve on a snow and ice-covered road, and her vehicle left the roadway.
Helfers, who was alone in her vehicle, was ticketed for driving too fast for conditions. She was wearing a seat belt.
Bardolph is located northeast of Macomb.
