PEORIA — A 24-year-old man was shot in the arm in the vicinity of Harrison Homes around 5:15 p.m. Sunday, according to a report filed at the Peoria Police Department.

Officers found the man bleeding and standing in the front room of a house in the 2800 block of West Starr Street. The man appeared to be intoxicated, the report said. He told officers he took off running after he was shot at and didn’t know how bad his wound was until he got to the home and saw all the blood, according to the report.

The victim was transported to OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center for treatment. The incident is being investigated.

It wasn't clear if there were any arrests.
