PEORIA — Illinois Central College campuses will remain closed for the rest of the semester, the school said, as it transitions to online-only studies.

In a news release, the school, which has campuses in Peoria and East Peoria, said the college "continues to operate and is converting to a virtual delivery mode for our courses, services and operations through the end of the semester."

ICC is currently on a two-week spring break which, the school says, allows for "planning for the conversion of classes to online delivery modalities and to maximize distance service delivery and the number of employees who can work remotely." Courses are to resume on March 30. There will be no in-person classes, lab sessions or any similar interactions between faculty and students. Students will hear from their instructors on how to proceed.
