“A Happy Ending to a Scaredy Year” — a visit from popular, anxiety-ridden children’s storybook character Scaredy Squirrel. Kids of all ages — even those who are still kids at heart — can meet and take pictures with Scaredy at 4-4:30 p.m. Nov. 20 at the Sunnyland Branch Library or 10-10:30 a.m. Nov. 22 at the Main Library, 380 Wlimor Road. While waiting, play a Scaredy matching game, make Scaredy Christmas ornaments, and guess how many acorns are in a jar for a chance to win a Scaredy book or puppet. Always forging ahead despite his fears and the challenges and obstacles he faces, Scaredy proves time and again that all works out well in the end, even when things occur that are “not part of the plan.”
