Obituary: Ryan Regan, 35, of East Peoria

EAST PEORIA — Ryan Regan, 35, of East Peoria died at 10:12 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at Pekin Hospital in Pekin. 

Born March 18, 1978, in Peoria to Michael and Deborah Ryan Regan, he married Samantha Rachel Forsythe Aug. 30, 1997, in Low Point.

She survives.

Also surviving are his parents of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; his four children, Benjamin, Caden, Dylan and Sophia, all at home in East Peoria; one brother, Nicholas Regan of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; three sisters, Barbi Regan of Springfield, RaeAnne Regan of Pekin and Leona Regan of Covington, Tenn.; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Terry (Deb) Forsythe of East Peoria. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

He was a journeyman lineman for 15 years.  He currently was with IBEW Local 51 and 111 last working with J.F. Electric out of Edwardsville.

 He was a member of the team of lineman who helped restore power to the City of Washington & Pekin following the recent tornados.

He was a board member of East Peoria JFL.  He also volunteered as a JFL coach and also was an East Peoria Community Baseball coach.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. The Rev. Howard Love will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service.
