Obituary: Edna Weber, 84, of East Peoria

EAST PEORIA — Edna Elizabeth Weber, 84, of East Peoria, died at 4 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, at Fondulac Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in East Peoria.

Born Dec. 21, 1929, in Streator to Harry Isaac and Ruth Elizabeth (Strickland) Frye, she married Carl William Weber on June 26, 1949, in East Peoria. He died Sept. 4, 2001, in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Jane Elizabeth Moore; one son, Timothy Weber; a granddaughter, Sarah (Armstrong) Tabor; a great-grandson, Jacob Clauson; three brothers; one sister and one step-brother.

Surviving are two daughters, Janet (Don) Cantelo of Mokena and Carla (David) Armstrong of East Peoria; one son, the Rev. Steve (Marsha) Weber of Morton; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She also leaves a son-in-law, Bill (Diane) Moore of Shelbyville and a daughter in law, Jeannette (Brad) DeGrow of Watertown, Wis.

She and her husband were the longtime owners of Carl’s Bakery in East Peoria.

Edna was a member of Eastside Bible Church in Morton.

Her funeral will be at 5 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Eastside Bible Church in Morton. The Rev. Steve Weber, her son, will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 4:45 p.m. Sunday at the church. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
