Bob Jorgensen East Peoria Green Team
Three types of light bulbs are CFLs, LEDs and halogen. LEDs cost about $20 and use 80 percent less energy. Their lifespan is 20-plus years. CFLs cost about $2 and use 75 percent less energy and have about a nine-year lifespan. Halogens cost about $1, use 30 percent less energy and last about one year.
